The Geneva Report:Day 2

Today we spent the morning being regular fixer-uppers, tidying things up around the house and getting things ready for Hari Raya. Then we dashed off to town really quickly, before coming back home and then driving off again to go to France. Versoix is just a quick drive away from France, Valtoiry to be exact. Its a bit like driving to Miri from Belait. But closer. And more scenic. Hehe. On the way there, we passed by the CERN Labs (Doc Naughty, remember Angels and Demons? hehe), its really quite freaky thinking that you could be driving over nuclear labs, seeing as most of their labs are located underground. Weird! :s

Today I learnt that although I can more or less guess what things mean when I read them in French, when people speak to me I'm still bangang, like duh... Hohoho. Bet people in the shops think I'm really annoying. Haha. It's quite hard as well, I can't ask things like 'Do you have this in another colour?' or 'Does this come in a smaller size?'.. I'm just going to be an eksen and pretend I look like I know what I'm doing. haha. Also, lots of people here have really cute dogs! Mostly those cute tiny ones, like Shih-Tzus... Reminds me so much of Toulouse! If only he could have come with us...he'd really love it here. hehe.

The Geneva Report: Day 1

Yoohoo my fellow Ants! Big Ant here reporting from the Big City. hoho. We finally arrived here in Geneva! Weather today is absolutely glorious its so sunny and mild, reminds me so much of our first time at LP. Haven't been out and about yet, so far things have just been mad and crazy here at the Versoix house. Mum has been busy cleaning, Dad is cooking (lol), and the rest of us are just making a nuisance of ourselves. hoho. Generally we're all just resting after such a long journey. I was totally sakai at Terminal 3 at Changi Airport yesterday (LOL). Completely embarassing.. I was also sakai playing the games on the SQ flight (you can totally tell I haven't been on SQ since....oh.... probably the 80s hahaha). But the thing that amazed me the most was how the Indon lady sitting in front of me from Singapore to Zurich managed to keep the massive volume in her hair throughout the whole 11-hour flight! At the end of the flight my hair was just a limp mess, and hers was still perfect as ever! I don't get it... :S Anyway, am off to mandi now, I feel grimy and gross. Will post photos later! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Ok. Its now 8.55pm and I'm all alone at home, extremely BORED! Am just waiting for the week to end so I can officially start my leave! hehehe... Everyday it gets harder and harder for me to wake up for work, so I end up strolling in around 8..LOL... sometimes just in time for my first class... YAWN... why must we work during puasa anyway, I think its counter-productive since everyone just tries to do the minimum work possible (or is that just me? hoho). Sooo pointless..

I'm looking forward to tommorow's sungkai! Although I haven't called them to make a booking yet (lol. Don't kill me!), I keep forgetting! Will do it tomorrow insyallah. Little Ant, we'll take lots of pictures for you hehehehe... On another note, am really liking this blogging thing, I find it quite cathartic writing my thoughts. Just helps to put things into perspective.

Anyway, I'm just rambling really. Nothing much else to report, will see you guys tomorrow then and Dr.N, no excuses this time! hehehe....

It's all about colours!!!!!

Lets help out the bride to be with some of the decisions. I say Yellow for her nikah, but the bride to be says nnnnnooooooo...green she says. but i sed will put it up for a vote. Black for her berbedak, turqoise for her sanding and purple for her ambil-ambilan.

If you guys got any other colours, just put it up and we'll put it to a vote hehehe

omg omg.... i feel ur pain, Bride to be!! This brings back memories of all the non-stop errands i had to do pre-June. Not really something i'd want to revisit. hoho. Bila u going to Hjh.Lina's next? Just text me I can come with u hehehe... love doing baju things...I guess u just have to prioritise, write down lists! endless lists! (this is how i hear most brides do it, although as i am terribly unorganised, all the lists were in my head. LOL). and delegate!! as much as you can, let someone do the donkey work for u (hohoho), especially boring stuff like catering! (who caressssss! zzzzzz. next task,please!)

don't worry too much about the weight thing, just wear ur corset everyday, pray for a miracle and the weight will drop off anyway due to stress (hoho). i aimed to lose 10 kilos before the big day, ended up losing nowhere near that amount. haha! also, important to make sure ur facial/waxy/manicure/pedicure lady doesn't fly off/quit/die before ur big day. mine had to go to kuching for the week of my wedding to go to her mum's funeral! leaving me with sandpaper skin and fuzzy legs! luckily i found an alternative...so i would say get those things done before the week of the wedding, so u don't need to worry about them later.

but in spite of everything, whats most important is YOU look fabulouso, so i think the baju (and you) are the most important thing. everything else will sort itself out. and if it doesn't, oh well! u look good! no one else will care about anything (or anyone) else. hehe. not even the groom (the groom is just a side-show anyway). hoho.

and remember, we're all just a call away! don't hesitate! *hugs* love love!!

Big Ant lost in the blog

Right. My first attempt to blog I posted it in the wrong place. I blame it on Khairul.. his post was named "New Post"..sooooo I posted my "New Post" there lah.. until I saw the posting button on the top right corner of the page... oh well.. not to wate my post this is what I had..... hehe

Aloooha my friends! I did it.. I'm now a blogger too hahaha.. well done well done *pat on the back*I'm still up nd now thinking maybe I should just stay up til sahur... another hour to go. Can't sleep yet because as soon as I came home from work this afternoon I hit the sack. And that was around 2ish... only woke up 5 mins before sungkai! Guys... I got just about three months to go til D-Day and I don't think I'm sorted yet. I'm starting to panic about my jemputan and hadiah.. It's not done yet. Then tomorrow (more like later) I need to dtop by at Hjh Lina's for the design of the baju.. anyone wants to join me and give me an idea?? I'm also panicking about my room... the walls are not up yet and I dunno if i have time to order the wallpaper, fixtures and the other interiors that needs doing... man oh man.. on top of that I need to sort out my work before taking my leaves. Shytes! How did you girls do it??!! So much to do and think of and time is ticking away.. and I'm not getting any slimmer!! ughhh... not that I'm doing much about it... miracle pls!!Okay.. I think this is a long post.. hehe but on the note of puasa-ing... I've been stuffing myself too and been throwing up after cos it just won't digest.. I feel like a bulemic! k nighy y'all!

so i'm thinking of going for a run at zunich tomoro...just thinking mind u! dunno if i'l actually do it. but i feel sooo groggy with nary an exercise in 8 days! mcm buntu rasa ku. need some adrenalin rush. does anyone know wat time zunich close at night? i just wana go to the gym plang. its still $10 kan to masuk. bit of a waste just to use hte treadmill but ive got to do something. the rate i'm going takut ku i wont fit into my raya bajus! hehehe....so gimme a buzz if anyone wana join tomoro nite yeah!
so i think i mite not have opne house this year cos amah balik...hehehehe.....so u guys come just to lepak lah ah in my house for raya. za wher u buy tudongs? i wana get a couple but perasan ku clash saja wah with the general public! sasak ku...iatah bari malas kan membali d kadai. apparently someone is selling on the internet but mahal, around $60. dats expensive! karang sama jua clash tu! sighhh.. kain lagi clash wit lina ariatu at nories wedding. anywez talk to u whenever k.

Body Impression

Its now 4.30pm and I have been lying on my bed since last nite. Bar sporadic trips to the bathroom and a brief moment of insanity when I decided to clean my room. There should be an imprint of my body on the bed by now. HAHA. Like Dr.N, I've been glued to the screen catching up on TV shows. Mostly I have been watching CSI (blame the husband!), with a bit of Gossip Girl thrown in. My new obsession though, is The Rachel Zoe Project! I'm obsessed! LOVE HER! Want to be just like her. She's my new idol! LOL... Dr.N, I think you'd love the show, you should totally download it. Am now convinced that I need new clothes. I have nothing to wear!! AGAIN! And don't say I can go out naked cos its puasa time and I should be covering up my assets in the name of modest dressing. LOL.. Anyway, am off to find something in my wardrobe which I don't totally hate right now. Sigh. If only I had the endless wardrobe of RZ.

Double naughtiness...Oh...oh...during puasa?

wow its friday and i havent a clue wat to do...so i just woke up and i'm at lost of what to do...mind u i havent got much energy to do much. wonder if my baju kurong for raya is siap oredi, dapat jua ku ambil. not gonna make manu, gonna just use wat i wore for nories functions since they are fabulous hahahha! btw norie ure pics on FB are fantastic!
so this coming sat nite ok for everybody sungkai? at shikai someone mention?ada sungkai buffet kah tu or ala carte...
so to pass the time ive been watching this below par tv series on DVD, flashpoint namanya. anyone seen it? aint that great but somehow i got hooked on it. pasal cops plang....i loooove cops story altho i dont watch NYPD blue cos paning tu liat cerita atu. and the thing is everytime i see it, at every episode i cry! emotional banar meliat ah! anyway u all shud watch harper's island. its soooo good and the guy is cute in there. looove jimmy! now the seson has finished and i'm at a lost of what to watch.
gosh another 7 hrs to sungkai.....how to fill the time? shouldnt have stayed up til 3am to finish it. now i dont have anythign to watch...oh well, its time for another trip to chong hock me thinks! anyway got any suggestions of what series to watch? to pass the time, and something not too naughty, as double naughty beats the purpose of puasa-ing ;)

Sungkai Fest!!

Its payday madness today..so im staying put till all the mad people spend their dosh..there was a ridiculously long queue in Qlap at 10am this morning...they must have skived work..tsk..tsk..unlike me who had a very valid reason for being out of skool tadi, left wallet at home had to rush back to get ic n driving licencse to get copied to claim for the bloody orals

Anyhoooo...its shikai then next week? 3rd week of puasa will be good for us..by then we won't know what else to cook for sungkai =p Yesterday, we had millenium burgers n fries n strawberry n banana smoothie. i cud not get off my seat. me n amir normally share the burger, but yesterday i was such a pig and scoffed down the whole thing..it doesn't look like it will be a cleansing month for me =p

Woot Woot!!

OH MY GOD I had this post all up and running and then through some retarded finger action on my part, managed to delete it with one click of my finger! Aaaargh!!! ANNOYING! Anyway, as I was going to say, well done everyone for posting! hehe. Keep them coming. Especially Dr.Hjh.Naughty! hohoho! See! Told you its easy! Nothing to it, right?

Am trying to decide where to have sungkai at today... Yesterday I felt like my tummy was going to pop, I ate so much! Hohoho... A full plate of biryani followed by a Big Mac (half), fries, numerous spinach bajees (mmmmm), curry, can't remember what else (its was just TOO MUCH), and to top it off, ICE CREAM! hohohho.... Well its no wonder I fell asleep at 9... Heavy stomach and all..Dr.N, baik inda ramai org yesterday at Rizqun? Still can't decide where to go, as I'm not craving anything in particular...
So, have we decided where to go for next week's sungkai? hehehehe.... QUACK QUACKKKKKKKK

heyyyyy!!! so i'm a bogger! hands up in the air....hands up...in the air......hehehehe....ok i'm too weak to write anything too interesting since i'm hypoglycaemic and ready to doze.....dreaming of apam balik chocolate from stadium. btw sungkai at rizqun very worth it.....sampai kan muntah ku.....like literally....from all the food i swallowed.....i was so unconfortable last nite.this is why i dont do buffet very well. anywez, life is boring at the moment so not much to post right now.
